Polyurethane (PU)

Polyurethanes (PU) are plastic materials and synthetic resins of the urethane group. Depending on the production, they can be hard and brittle, as well as soft and flexible. In an expanded form, polyurethane is known as a permanently elastic soft foam (e.g. for sports shoe soles) or as a rigid installation foam. Our customers request these plastic materials in the most diverse makings.

Of all PUR materials, we use polyurethane D44 most frequently. In addition to its excellent mechanical properties, it also features very high wear, tensile and tear resistance. Polyurethane D44 is temperature resistant in the range from -30°C to +80°C and very elastic.

Thanks to their varied production feasibility, polyurethanes can be applied in different fields. They can be found, inter alia, in mattresses, gaskets, flooring, paints, adhesives, skis, raceways and car seats.
