Polyamide is a milky-white, thermoplastic material that can be colored with any color. It is a tough, abrasion-resistant and vibration-damping material and is, therefore, of frequent demand by our customers.
Since PA easily absorbs moisture, it has increased flexibility and toughness, low hardness and strength. Polyamide has very good sliding and dry-running properties and is, therefore, often used in mechanical engineering in the form of gears, bearings, sliding elements and blow-molded parts.
PA is particularly suitable for pipes and piping systems. It is also used to make fibers like nylon. Polyamide is particularly resistant to oils, greases, lubricants and weak lyes. It is easy to drill, twist, sand, polish and paint. It can just as well be welded and printed on.
